Concurrently, it’s essential to acknowledge that in the event of tuition lessons being cancelled within the initial month, the client is responsible for payment of tuition fees for lessons conducted up to the point of termination.

How does JEC facilitate the matching process between tutors and clients?
At JEC, our registered tutors undergo a rigorous selection process, with emphasis placed on their educational and professional qualifications. With a diverse array of highly qualified tutors, we exude confidence in our ability to identify a suitable match tailored to both the educational needs of the students as well as the preferences of our clients.
Upon submitting a tutor request, what is the anticipated processing timeframe?
Upon receipt of your request, an automated email will promptly be dispatched to your designated email address. Within a 24-hour timeframe, our dedicated coordinators will initiate contact via phone to validate your requirements before proceeding to match you with the most suitable tutor.
Is there a provision for clients to specify their desired tutor?
If you prefer a specific tutor, we encourage you to utilize our โExplore Tutor (coming soon)โ portal. Within this platform, you can meticulously review our array of tutors, make an informed selection, and submit your request accordingly. However, please be advised that the availability and rates outlined on the tutor’s profile are subject to potential fluctuations.

How does JEC assess the performance of its tutors?
Our meticulous selection process for tutors adheres to the following steps:
- Receipt of completed online registration forms.
- Validation of potential tutorsโ educational and professional qualifications.
- Conduct background checks into their past tutoring assignments.
- Verification of physical credentials upon the tutorโs commencement of their tuition assignment.
Moreover, parents are cordially invited to verify the tutorโs qualifications should they seek additional assurance.
Is there a contractual arrangement established between the client and tutor?
There is no contractual obligation binding the client to the tutor.
While we do recommend providing the tutor with a one-month probationary period to cultivate an optimal learning environment for the student. Client retains the flexibility to discontinue tuition sessions should the lesson conducted by the tutor is found to be unsatisfactory, and we value your feedback in such cases.
Are there any agency fees that need to be paid by the client?
While our services remain complimentary for our clients (parents and students), tutors are subject to an agency fee. This agency fee is calculated as a percentage of the total tuition fees accumulated during the initial four weeks of active lessons and is deducted from the tutor’s earnings. This arrangement ensures that clients do not incur any additional charges.
Following the completion of two full weeks of active lessons, clients are kindly asked to transfer the agency fee directly to JEC. Subsequently, payments for the remaining lessons are made directly to the tutor.
What is the prevailing rate for tuition services?
The determination of tuition rates is contingent upon several factors, such as:
- the selected tutor’s qualifications,
- commitment level (part-time or full-time),
- certification with MOE,
- accumulated experience

It’s important to note that JEC does not determine the tuition rates. Each tutor establishes their own rates in accordance with market standards. Nonetheless, our adept coordinators engage in negotiations to ensure equitable and justifiable rates for all parties involved.
How is the invoice for payment usually issued?
The invoice will be sent to the email address specified in the online Tutor Request Form following the completion of the initial lesson.

How can I obtain confirmation that JEC has acknowledged receipt of my payment?
To ensure timely verification and confirmation, we kindly request clients to notify us immediately after making payment. Please send all relevant screenshots / receipts (with invoice number) via WhatsApp to 89384667.

In the event of an erroneous payment, what course of action is advised?
In the event of an erroneous payment, we strongly advise you to promptly reach out to your bank for assistance. Please understand that JEC cannot assume liability for any losses or inconvenience arising from this issue, as the bank information provided is accurate.
